QA Engineer (Backend)

Innovatrics ABIS(Automated Biometric Identification System), our flagship product, is a biometric identity management system supporting fingerprint, iris, and facial recognition. And we in ABIS are now looking for an experienced QA Engineer who would help us to create ABIS as bug-free as it gets.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
• Create and execute test scenarios and test cases for ABIS backend services
• Test types include, but are not limited to: unit, functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance, load/stress and acceptance, chaos.
• Track defects in Jira, verify bug fixes
• Capture quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Communicate with the development team and Product Manager to clearly identify requirements
• Analyze test results and clearly communicate to the development team where performance bottlenecks exist
• Provide actionable corrective recommendations for discovered issues
• Review technical debt and provide solutions for enhancements

Candidate requirements

• At least 3 years experience in developing backend software tests for functional, performance, acceptance and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc and manual testing elements.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Solid knowledge of Java(or Kotlin), SQL and scripting
• Familiar with APIs(REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
• Experience with Automation Testing using automation tools to include Java code integration.
• Experience in Requirements Analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment Practice, Tools and trends.
