R&D Coordinator

As the R&D Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of R&D and R&D team leaders in optimizing the research and development processes within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around enhancing the efficiency of the R&D department, promoting agile practices, and facilitating effective communication among team members. This role is not directly involved in research but is instrumental in enabling research-focused professionals to maximize their productivity.

Responsibilities

• Enable Research Focus: Collaborate closely with the Head of R&D and R&D team leaders to help them dedicate more time to actual research by taking on administrative and coordination tasks.
• Work Planning and Reporting: Design and implement workflow and best practices in planning and reporting, ensuring that project schedules are maintained and that progress is effectively communicated to stakeholders.
• Agile Tools Management: Manage the agile project management tools used by the R&D department, with a particular focus on Jira, to streamline workflows and keep all stakeholders informed about the current status of ongoing work.
• Organize Meetings and Events: Plan and coordinate R&D-wide meetings and events, including but not limited to review meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing events, to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among team members.
• Execution of R&D Strategy: Assist in the execution of the R&D strategy and serve as the right-hand person to the Head of R&D in implementing key initiatives and achieving departmental objectives.

Candidate requirements

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar position, ideally as a Scrum Master or coordinator within an R&D or technology-focused environment.
• Agile Expertise: Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, and experience in implementing agile practices within teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a diverse and dynamic R&D team.
• Adaptability: The capacity to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to help teams overcome obstacles and bottlenecks.
• Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Previous experience with grant proposals is considered as a plus
