Junior Frontend Developer (ABIS product)
Job Description
Our team of experts is looking for a new, junior front-end developer. If you are eager for new technologies, are motivated by challenges, and want to cooperate on the most complex biometric product used in national-scale projects, our role is the perfect match for you.
You will be part of a team where you can learn from more experienced team members. In our team, we organize regular front-end coffee meetings where we share news from web development.
Responsibilities
- Technical design and development of user interfaces of our biometric SW products
- Focus on implementation of front-end layer of web applications
- Design of new functionalities and prototypes of UI and UI components, enhancement of usability comfort
- Close cooperation with the back-end developers and UI designers
- Creation and maintenance of reusable UI components, templates, and libraries (Design System)
- Responsibility for future-proof design and high quality of resulting work
- Keeping pace with new technologies in front-end area of expertise at all times
Candidate requirements
- Experience with front-end development of modern applications in an agile environment
- Sense of good design and aesthetics with focus on responsive design
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Knowledge of modern front-end basic building blocks:
- JavaScript frameworks – ReactJS,
- CSS: styled components/Emotion
- Tools like: Webpack/Vite, Yarn/pnpm, Storybook
- Knowledge of tools like is an advantage: Turborepo/Nx, Chromatic
- Experience with Git and CI/CD, authentication concepts, and front-end security concepts
- Familiarity with communication protocols like REST or GraphQL (Apollo/Relay is an advantage)
- At least basic familiarity with databases, SQL
- Ability to create new designs of user interfaces with focus on functionality and user experience
- Experience with testing (Jest) and debugging of front-end applications running in a web browser and front-end server - basic knowledge of Cypress is an advantage
- Advantage is knowledge of languages/technologies like Node.js
- A sense of detail and a responsible approach to work
- Friendly attitude and willingness to share knowledge and help others
