Engineering Manager

Join us as our Engineering Manager and shape the future of Fingera. As our technology go-to expert, you will establish and drive our technology vision, guiding the strategic direction of Fingera's product development.

You will oversee and manage all aspects of our technology development and information technology resources, both internal and external. Your responsibilities will include overseeing development and delivery, as well as managing both our internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership: Lead the backend team in building a state-of-the-art technology environment to drive scalability and efficiency across all areas of product development.
• Technical Expertise: Leverage deep technical expertise to select the optimal technology stack for product development.
• Product Vision: Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to translate business requirements into a robust and innovative product.
• Agile Development: Drive Agile development planning and execution, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
• Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate both internal and external development teams to achieve project goals and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation by exploring and adopting emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities.
• Technical Stack: Work with a cutting-edge tech stack including Ruby on Rails, Docker, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Suite (Terraform, Consul, Nomad, Vault), AWS, and more.

Candidate requirements

• Background in engineering or deep technical experience (preferably you had started your career as a Software Engineer)
• Knowledge of technological trends, mainly in Cloud deployment and Application engineering
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Experience as a Engineering Manager / Tech Lead / Solution Architect or similar leadership role in a dynamic, fast-changing environment is a plus
• Knowledge of OOP programming languages, Ruby is a plus

Required education

• University education (Master's degree)
• Postgraduate (Doctorate)
