As a Fullstack JavaScript Developer on our Innovations Team, you will help transform creative ideas into real-world biometric solutions. Working at the forefront of our product innovation, you'll prototype new features and applications that harness Innovatrics’ industry-leading biometric technologies. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of building a world of instant trust through biometrics, turning imaginative concepts into impactful products. This role is perfect for someone who loves experimentation, rapid prototyping, and seeing their ideas make a tangible difference in the biometrics industry.

Within one month, you will…

• Learn the ropes: Get to know Innovatrics’ products, codebase, and development processes.
• Team integration: Meet your colleagues in the Innovations Team and understand how the team operates.
• First contributions: Pair with a mentor to fix minor bugs or implement a small feature, gaining familiarity with our React/Node.js stack.
• Architecture overview: Grasp the architecture of our biometric software and the components you'll be working with.

Within three months, you will…

• Active development: Take on developing user-facing features on the front end and corresponding API endpoints on the back end.

• Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across different streams (e.g. R&D, QA) to deliver end-to-end prototypes and features.
• Fullstack exposure: Own tasks across the stack – one day you might build a React UI for a new biometric feature, the next day implement server logic in Node.js.
• Code reviews: Participate in code reviews and sprint planning, steadily contributing your ideas and feedback.

Within six months, you will…

• Feature ownership: Lead the development of a new feature or improvement from concept to release, coordinating full-stack implementation and deployment.
• Innovation & ideation: Actively contribute ideas during innovation sprints and brainstorming sessions for new product features and enhancements.
• Architectural input: Join in architectural discussions, helping design scalable solutions for prototypes that could evolve into production systems.
• Process improvement: Propose and implement improvements in our development process or code quality (e.g. refining coding standards, introducing useful tools or libraries).

Within one year, you will…

• Strategic projects: Contribute to longer-term initiatives that shape the direction of our biometric products, such as major new modules or platform upgrades.
• Mentorship: Begin mentoring junior developers or new team members, sharing your fullstack JavaScript knowledge and best practices.
• Innovation leadership: Take a leading role in product experimentation – champion proof-of-concept projects and pilot new ideas to expand our product offerings.
• Impact & growth: Continuously expand your expertise in biometrics and software development, becoming a go-to person in the team for innovative solutions.

About You:

You are a passionate JavaScript developer who loves to build things end-to-end. You thrive in creative environments where you can prototype, experiment, and iterate on new ideas. You’re comfortable wearing many hats – one day debugging a backend API, the next day polishing a frontend UI. Collaboration comes naturally to you; you enjoy working closely with others and sharing knowledge. Qualifications:

• Fullstack JavaScript: Hands-on experience building web applications using React (front end) and Node.js (back end).
• TypeScript proficiency: Strong TypeScript skills – you can write clean, type-safe code across both client and server.
• Clean code & maintainability: Track record of writing modular, readable, and well-tested code. You follow best practices in coding standards, version control, and documentation.
• Problem-solving skills: Aptitude for debugging complex issues and optimizing performance in a full-stack environment.
• Team player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You work effectively in cross-functional teams and are open to feedback and knowledge-sharing.
• Bonus: Experience with rapid prototyping or working on innovation-focused projects is a plus.

• Frontend: React + Shadcn/UI
  • Component-based UI + and modern React patterns, shadcn/ui, TanStack
• Backend: Node.js
  • REST APIs, Express, Prisma, OpenAPI
• Language: TypeScript
  • End-to-end type safety across client and server, shared interfaces/models
• Version control & collaboration + CI/CD: GitLab with its CI/CD
  • Merge requests, code reviews, and writing CI pipelines + Argo
• Testing:
  • Automated - via Jest, Playwright
• Quality & tooling:
  • ESLint + Prettier for consistent style
• Containerization & runtime: Docker + Docker Compose
  • Reproducible local environments and seamless deployment targets
• Cloud & infrastructure (as needed): Kubernetes, AWS
  • Scalable micro-services and managed databases when prototypes graduate to production
• Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana
  • Metrics, tracing, and error tracking for rapid feedback and stability
