Java/Kotlin Software Engineer Senior (Remote – limited to Slovakia and Czech Republic)

Responsibilities:

• Development of state-of-the-art biometric products deployed worldwide
• Integration with biometric libraries of our own making
• Take responsibility for ensuring the highest quality of our biometric solutions
• Programming in Java and Kotlin
• Development and integration of microservices for modern, scalable architectures
• API design, implementation, and integration (REST / GraphQL / gRPC)
• Design, implementation and integration of distributed systems

Candidate requirements

• We are looking for a person who is technologically capable, able to express own opinion and share his / her knowledge with others
• Advanced knowledge of Java programming language and platform
• Experience with Kotlin (nice to have)
• Experience with distributed systems (multithreading, parallelization, microservices concept)
• Experience with integration (REST, MQ, GraphQL, gRPC)
• Knowledge of SQL, experience with RDBMS (Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL server)
• Experience with the development process: Git, code reviews, CI/CD, GitLab CI, Docker, Maven / Gradle
• Experience with Linux OS development and administration is a plus
• Friendly approach and willingness to help others, we are looking for a team person

Required locations:

• Slovakia/Czech Republic (for legal/employment reasons)
• 1 day/week or every second week in the office is recommended for collaboration and team synergy, but fully remote is possible by agreement.
