The beautiful resort is located in the Low Tatras which is part of the NAPANT national park. We were hosted at Mikulasska Chata in Demanovska Valley, a beautifully restored 1950’s chalet situated within an area of thick forest, adjacent to lake Vrbicke Pleso.
After leaving Bratislava early on Friday morning, we arrived and attended a presentation by our leadership team reviewing the key achievements for the previous 12 months. Afterwards, we enjoyed an evening of wellness, beers and bowling at the chalet, ensuring that we got to bed at a reasonable hour so as to be fresh for the long day of skiing ahead!
As always, our CEO Jano led by example and was up at the crack of dawn, enjoying the best of the early morning snow.
Stano Bocinec and his team hit the slopes soon after, opting to try the most challenging peak, Ďumbier, which stands 2043m a.s.l.
Of course, skiing is hungry (and thirsty) work and we were treated to a traditional Tatra Mountain buffet at the chalet, which was complimented by some great Slovak beers and wines.
