Python Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Python Software Engineer. We are starting a green-field project: an eKYC solution for the finance and telco industry. The solution will be based on the Odoo framework and our world-class biometric technology. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain eKYC Components: Build and optimize components within the eKYC system, focusing on customer identity verification, data validation, and compliance workflows.
• Integrate External APIs: Collaborate on integrating APIs for document verification, biometric authentication, and fraud detection to enhance the eKYC process.
• Implement Data Validation and Processing Pipelines: Create efficient data pipelines for processing and validating customer information to meet regulatory standards.
• Focus on Security and Compliance: Ensure that the eKYC system meets industry security standards, focusing on protecting sensitive customer data and ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., KYC/AML, GDPR).
• Optimize System Performance: Continuously analyze and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and administrators.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with business analysts, product managers, and other developers to understand eKYC requirements and create efficient, effective solutions.
• Identify and Resolve Issues: Quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within the eKYC system, ensuring minimal disruption to service.

Candidate requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Experience with FastAPI web framework.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end interaction.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API integrations.
• Understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with asynchronous programming (e.g., Asyncio).
• Basic knowledge of React.js.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
• Basic knowledge of AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban).
